HIGH NOTES - ALL WOMEN CONCERT - AWARD FUNCTION
Thank you for a year of love, support and care. 2024 was filled with music, including the US tour of 100 Strings, a new edition of Veena Gaanam at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, concerts and programs around the world, a special music video and single with my band Maithree, a jam-packed Margazhi season and the commencement of my Visiting Professorship at the Thiruvaiyaru Music College.
Here in Chennai, India, we are ringing in the new year tonight and tomorrow with 3 special events! I hope you will consider ending 2024 and beginning 2025 with me.
First: we are finishing this year on (literally) a high note with soprano and composer Shruthi Rajasekar tonight, December 31, in a special performance of veena and voice at the delightful event by Carnatica Archival Centre at Vani Mahal. Together, we'll usher in the New Year 2025.
Second: tomorrow, on Jan 1st morning (9:30 AM), I am leading an all-women ensemble in a special New Year Concert at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
Third: tomorrow at 3.45 PM, at Dakshinamurthy Auditorium PS School, I am honoured to be receiving the Delhi Saraswathi Venkatraman Award instituted by Prof V. Sivakumar. Many thanks to Brahma Gana Sabha for this award and recognition.
